One of the best parts of my job is the search for new work. Lots of designers and makers come to us which is lovely, but the fun is to be had in the hunt, the fairs we travel around the country to, the excitement of finding a new maker.

In the next few weeks we have lots of new makers sending us work, these however have just arrived today. I met Sian at Wonderwool in Builth Wells last April, I fell in love with her work and bought myself a scarf and some gloves (which the potter has tried to claim!) it's a delight to now stock her blankets and cushions. Each piece is made  on hand powered knitting machine in her studio in Pembrokeshire, inspired by traditional Welsh blanket patterns but with a contemporary twist.

We're also super excited to be getting new work in from Lola at LH Design, I've been a huge fan for a while, you may remember the 'Shop independent this Christmas' print we proudly display in our window each christmas, this is by the super talented Lola so I really can't wait to be stocking her prints and cards.

Other prints that are winging their way to us are from Alice tams who specialises in prints of birds... wearing hats! I mean once you've seen a puffin in a hat you do really kind of want the print in your life! We're going to be stocking a range of greeting cards, prints and super cute pin badges.

There are other makers sending us new work too... but I can't show you everything in one go!

Emily has been super busy in the workshop over the Easter holidays making a new range of decorations ready to compliment our summer collection, we've got some super exciting things to experiment with over the next few weeks which will change our decorations completely, we're already designing the Christmas range which is going to be super special this year, but until then here's a peak of what she's been up to-

We do love an inspirational quote too...

As well as making all of these for us she's been super busy glazing too, so we finally have lots of Tooth fairy and ring bowls back in stock-

(that is absolute a half crown... see my dad gave me that, said if I keep it in my purse i'll always have money... it's true, because you can't spend it!)

If you found one of our easter eggs last weekend well done and a huge thanks for going out and having a look!  We had lots of lovely photos shared on our Facebook page, The very first to let us know they'd found an egg where Ffredi and Alfie who where out super early looking around the harbour!

Tomorrow (saturday) we have a throwing course in our workshop, this one is sold out but if you fancy a go we have released dates for 2 more on June 3rd and August 26th, unfortunately due to holidays and, fairs and making we won't have time for any other courses until autumn when our new hub opens.

Lots more next week!
