Ceramic Autumn Pumpkin Lantern - Splatter Pedur

He’s back!

There’s nothing so heartwarming as the warmth of a flickering candle. Here at Glosters, we love the cosiness of autumn combined with a touch of ghoulishness that’s fit for the spooky season.

This year we’ve been casting real pumpkins so we could get an authentic pumpkin shape to make some autumn ceramic lantern designs! Starting with the cast pumpkin we carve a grinning Jack ‘o Lantern face into the stoneware clay, then glaze it in a splattered yellow and purple, each pumpkin features a hand stamped star and bat ‘tattoo’.
We’ve named this guy Pedur in the workshop, this year he even comes with his own name tag, we hope you like him!

The shape and size of these lanterns are the perfect dimensions to fit a tea light candle, however the lantern will retain heat from an open flame so we suggest being very careful or using battery operated tea-lights.  

These ceramic candle holders are handmade in our designer pottery workshop in Porthmadog, North Wales, using high quality stoneware clay and glazes from our local supplier. Due to this handmade nature, each lantern is unique, and may differ slightly from those pictured.
