‘The Dish’

As we quickly approach summer in Porthmadog there is a collection of new pieces launching here at Glosters Pottery that the team have been busy making by hand at the workshop.

Today I’d love to introduce to you one that we’re very excited about and due to it’s versatility we’ve named it ‘The Dish’ 

Initially we started with the intention of designing a planter as soon many of our customers have been asking for them. Whilst The Dish does make an excellent planter… it occurred to us that it was a really useful size for lot of things.

So we set about testing!

We sent the team home with a Dish each and asked them to test it, eat from it, cook in it, microwave it, pop it in the dishwasher, show us what it can do. 

The results did not disappoint, just as we’d thought The Dish was a popular size to bake all sorts of things in, from pasta’s to soufflés, as well as a serving dish, it could be and do almost anything. 
As each Dish is made from a durable stoneware clay it is oven safe to around 200c, as well as microwave and dishwasher safe.

We think no kitchen should be without to be honest! 
The Dish  is of course available in range of our glazes matching all our other ceramics.
