Busy end to January!

Friday again! I'm sure these weeks are getting faster!
So what have we been up to this week?
With preparations underway for our first workshop of the year tomorrow we've been having a play with creating new ring bowl designs. We've got Father Gloster to turn some new moulds on his wood lathe so we now have a variation of sizes to work with, we're thinking of creating a loose change bowl/dish for father's day so all those dads can stop emptying their pockets on the side board and into a tidy dish instead. Tom obviously excelled himself with the new ring bowls! I'm sure you'll agree these are just beautiful!
Making the same things all the time can get a little boring... so Tom has set himself a challenge (always one to make anything a competitive...) He's currently made 178 jugs this year since we started back after christmas. He has set himself the challenge to get to 1000 jugs as quickly as possible!! We're thinking of running a competition (the competitive side again...) to win the 1000th jug of the year! More info on that soon... Keep potting Tom!
With the weather still miserable... we thought we'd change the window to our big valentines day window! We've used hundreds of post-it notes to great a huge heart on the window! We're encouraging everyone to come in and write a note to a loved one which we'll then add to the window, A live interactive window! A lady said to us yesterday ' you must really love your jobs to create such beautiful windows, you can tell its a happy place to work' she's not wrong! We really do love our jobs and we really do love working at Glosters. We're so happy our bright windows light up the street!
Why not 'Share the Love' this valentines day right?!
More next week and lots of photo's of our ring bowl course too!
