Hello! Friday already and the last day of March!

It's all go from now on! We're straight into a huge list of events, Get Creative weekend (on April 8th we're running a ceramics workshop if you fancy a go we still have spaces, book online :) ), we're throwing at the local caravan site over Easter, we plan on throwing outside the shop over Easter (weather permitting), we have a list of sold out courses, weddings to go to... we're pretty busy until about mid October now! At which point... we'll enter the Christmas madness!

But what have we been up to this week?

Well firstly after our sell out window display of ceramic vases we needed a new window display for spring/ Easter. So with some clever use of a hola hoop and a few bits of pallet wood (love a good piece of platter wood...!) we've made a spring window full of swings and amazing sewn creature from The cat in the shoe. ( if you'd like to enquire about any of the pieces please drop us an email, we won't be selling these online but we can arrange to post them out to you.)

We've also been pretty busy organising an event to celebrate our 3rd birthday as Glosters and the beginning of our 4th year! So after some thoughts of a party... the usual event in the shop... we came up with a pretty awesome idea that we're really excited about! We're holding our own creative Eisteddfod! For those of you who may not know what an Eisteddfod is, it's a competitive festival that we have in Wales, generally competitions are music and poetry... but we're holing a creative Eisteddfod full of creative competitions, from sewing, flower arranging, baking, photography, knitting and... lego building! We want to showcase the best of creativity in our local area and encourage people to get creative! We'll have age categories from 3-4 years all the way to adults, a day full of rosettes and prizes. We're organising with other local business to judge the competitions. So far we've set the date as May 29th (the bank holiday monday) and we've booked the vestry at Capel Salem (just behind the big rock cafe) as our location so we'll have plenty of room to showcase the pieces.

There will be lots more info in the next couple of weeks, we'll be printing leaflets with all the info on categories and entires. To keep up with the info you can join our Facebook event page here-

A huge thank you to Emily also for making us a pretty awesome logo for the event

New arrivals this week included our popular range of candles, last year we had 4 fragrances inspired by local beaches, this year we've expanded by adding another 3 to the range all named after local places. Our range now come as wax melts too! I've got the potter busy making us some wax melt burners so hopefully these will be available soon.

Tom is super busy working on our next collection (don't worry he's still working on vases too and we have some coming out of the kiln this wednesday coming!), the summer collection, this is inspired by our local beaches in particular Borth- y -Gest where we walk Arthur regularly, his first pot for the collection emerged from the kiln yesterday and has already proved a huge hit! This new ripple wave effect received some amazing feedback-

It may surprise you that the new collection will feature a lot of blue... and our new purple glaze also-

As week as all of this we've been busy with a few shop improvements too, a few days ago we had some glorious weather so we rushed out to give the whole outside a good clean including our sign, Tom is busy contemplating the lighting in the shop and having a change... there was talk of him throwing lampshades!

I really wanted to change the steps behind the counter... we never got around to it when we first opened... so... we basically have just covered them in fake grass! It looks so cool! If you've been to the shop you'll know we have a board across the top step that stops Arthur escaping! I'm now tempted to make it into a little white picket fence like a mini garden!!

Right then... April we're ready... lets do this!
