Throwing shapes and making creatures!
•Posted on April 14 2017
Last saturday was our Get creative weekend, we choose to open up our ceramics studio for a pinch pot making day. We had lots of lovely people in and out all day creating some amazing one off creatures! Here is a couple Tom made as examples, I'll share with you the finished pieces once they've been fired and glazed.
On Tuesday Emily and Tom where at Greenacres caravan park throwing pots with their caravan owners, this was our first visit to the park this year, we have another two visits this year one in June and one in September, it looked like they where abroad!
Tom has been busy in the workshop working on the summer collection, this collection is inspired by our summer walks to the local beach, he's been experimenting with using a mix of clays and creating a sand effect, this vase came out of the kiln this week and sold immediately!
We've also had lots of new stock arriving in the shop this week, some new work by glass worker Jo Downs from Cornwall arrived, these pieces will be online shortly but are available in the shop now.
It's now easter weekend already! We'll be open everyday, Good friday 10-5pm, Saturday, 10-5pm, easter sunday 11-4pm and easter monday 11-4pm. We'll be hiding our ceramic Easter eggs around town tomorrow for the Glosters Easter egg hunt, if you find one you'r welcome to keep it and take it home fro your Easter tree. All the eggs will be hidden by 9am on saturday.
Have a great Easter everyone!
