The beloved bird has long been associated with Christmas thanks to its famous red breast, and the sight of the colourful creatures flitting into the garden injects joy on dreary winter days. It's also considered a messenger between heaven and earth, with the phrase "robins appear when loved ones are near" bringing comfort to those missing their departed ones, especially during the holidays.
The Christmas Robin gift box includes a robin bauble, one of our most popular ornaments ever, which comes with Glosters ribbon ready to hang on the tree. The candle holder has an opening in the red breast to fit a tealight, with little wings ready to fly also revealing the flickering flame. The match pot holder has a little beak and feeties, and is filled with approximately 100 red-tipped matches.
The three ceramic items in the Christmas robin gift box have all been designed, made, and decorated here in our pottery workshop in Porthmadog, North Wales, where our team of ceramists lovingly hand-make all of our Welsh pottery. We use locally-sourced stoneware clay that is strong and durable, so you can count on these robin decorations lasting year after year.
Christmas Robin Gift Box Includes:
- Robin Bauble
- Robin Tealight Candle Holder
- Robin Match Pot with Red-tipped Matches and striker pad
- Recyclable kraft gift box with wood-wool packaging

Pottery Care Instructions
Tableware
Can I put my tableware in the dishwasher?
Yes. All our ceramic tableware is dishwasher safe, including plates, bowls, and pouring and mixing bowls.
Can I use it in the microwave?
Yes, unless it has a metallic glaze. Metallic glazes can spark, so keep those pieces out of the microwave.
Will cutlery mark the glaze?
Occasionally, cutlery leaves grey marks on the glaze. Bar Keepers Friend removes them easily.
Mugs, muglets, mugsters & beakers
Can they go in the dishwasher?
Each handmade mug is made by hand, so we recommend washing it by hand too.
Can I microwave them?
We'd rather you didn't. To help your mug last longer, heat drinks in a jug or pan, then pour them in.
Jugs & vases
Are your vases watertight?
Yes. Each handmade vase has a clear glaze inside, so it holds water and keeps your flowers fresh.
How should I clean a jug or vase?
Wash them by hand.
The Pottery
Each piece we make has its own story as to how it began, how the form came about and the work emerged as part of our range.
We believe that the story, the soul of a piece, doesn't stop there. It continues with its new owner, where you bought it, why you choose that glaze.
All handmade ceramics hold far more than their original function. They hold memories from their maker, from their owner and all are individual.
A little glimpse behind the glaze
Handmade means hands-on, and that comes with its fair share of chaos. We wanted to let you in on what our workshop really looks like, clay dust, wonky first attempts and all, before a piece ever reaches your table.
Story through images.
