Special Event: Sample Sale on 23 May 2026

We're back at it again! This time of year, we give our team of artisan ceramists free reign to go absolutely wild with their artistic imaginations, resulting in some truly phenomenal one-off or small-batch ceramics.

As well as these samples, we also have up for grabs a selection of seconds. Now, to be clear, this is not broken or unsuable pottery. It's just that these pieces don't quite meet our incredibly high standards, whether it's because the glaze bubbled in a unique way, or there are pinprick design spots. Honestly, most of these imperfections are barely visible to most!

It's WAY too difficult to individually list these items every time, so instead, we hold a bit of a party at the Glosters, selling off these unique items on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our Sample and Seconds Sale, held at the Glosters Workshop every year, is the best way to grab a unique design or an absolute bargain from the range of seconds.

In previous years, the sale was a massive success and there were huge queues of shoppers lining up, waiting to see the options. To help spread out the influx of shoppers and to give the truly focused Glosters fans a head start, this year we have offered Sample Sale Early Access Tickets that give VIP access to ticket holders, as well as some freebies on the day.

We're excited to see you at our workshop on May 23rd, you'll be welcome to grab a cup of coffee or tea from our Glosters Coffee Trailer and mingle with other Glosters pottery enthusiasts.

While we can't show you everything that will be up for grabs during the sale, we can tell you that everything is handmade in our pottery workshop in Porthmadog using high quality stoneware clay and glazes from our local supplier that ensure lightweight yet durable pieces that last.
