Rawr! Gilbert is in his favourite halloween costume this year, taking on the form of Gilbertsaurus, the most fearsome combination of Jack-o-Lantern and Stegosaurus. His goofy grin remains the same, with his huge grin revealing a deep empty belly.

Gilbert's shape was cast from a real pumpkin at Crugan Pumpkins local farm, then carved by hand to reveal a sinister smile. Spines and a tail have been added to give Gilbert his Jurassic twist, then fully glazed in sage green.

Gilbertsaurus is the perfect size to hold a tealight candle, with the glittering light from the flame glowing out from his toothy grin. Please note that the ceramic will get hot with flame and battery-operated tealights should be considered. Never leave candles unattended.

Size:
Approx 9cm height x 7cm width (11cm with tail)

Gilbert is the perfect autumn companion to Magda, Penelope and Steven, the other spooky Halloween lanterns in our Autumn 2025 launch. He is handmade from durable stoneware clay and coated in a resistant glaze both provided by our local suppliers.

All of the Welsh ceramics in our collection are made by hand in our workshop in Porthmadog, and all are eligible for flat rate £4.95 domestic UK shipping - what better excuse to get yourself new pottery mugs and stock up on Halloween decor and pottery gifts all in one go!

My very own Draig

I know he is a Dino to you but to me he is my very own Welsh Draig. I haven’t picked him up yet. He is staying with my friends in Cardiff till I can fly over from America to get him. But I love him already! I have the perfect spot for him next to Captain Gilly!
